Taking care of your stainless steel cookware

Instructions
Any questions
Initial wash
This wash needs to be carried out in order to remove all oil residue and manufacturing polish. This will also help prevent the pots from becoming permanently stained during the first few uses.

Daily care
To keep the pots in the best condition after each use wash the pot in warm soapy water using a soft sponge or cloth. Dry with a clean soft cloth as soon as they have been washed to avoid water stains. RenaWare can be washed in the dishwasher but dry them immediately after washing. Side handles and lid knobs can be taken apart and cleaned as necessary.

Burnt food
Excess temperature can cause food to burn and adhere to inside of the pot. In this case fill the utensil with water and let it soak. If this does not work then bring the water to the boil over a medium heat and add a little vinegar. Bear in mind that you should cook at a medium/low, never high temperature. The design and construction of RenaWare allows for a uniform distribution of heat, therefore saving energy when cooking.

Pitting
Seasoning such as tomato, salt, mustard, lemon juice and other acidic ingredients can cause pitting. This may be avoided by adding the salt after the food has started to cook and liquids to boil. Stir the contents so that the salt dissolves completely. Never use metal utensils on the pots, or anything that could scratch the metal.

Discolouration
Starchy foods may cause the inside of the pots to stain. Also, if a very high temperature is used to cook the pots could stain on the outside. If this happens please use Renalite as below

Burning
Stainless steel pots are very durable and easy to care for.
If you burn your pots the way to clean and restore them is to use RenaLite to clean your utensils. You will also need a soft sponge and a little warm water.
Prepare a paste with the RenaLite and water, with the sponge, rub the inside of the pot. Repeat this until the burnt food begins to lift off. Continue rubbing until there is no residue left.
Never use metallic sponge, bleach or abrasive cleaners on your pots.
